Decorating the Tree!

We have had the tree up, but not decorated! We have been waiting for Sadie! The two decorated the tree before dinner tonight. They had fun looking at the ornaments. Ashton knows so much more and he is all into the holiday spirit. He loves the lights and commenting on the decorations we see that are up already. We are taking them to ICE at Gaylord Palms this weekend. I hope it is not too cold for them at 9 degrees!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgivng everyone! We hope you had a great day! We enjoyed the day at my mom and dad's with some relatives mixed in! Dad's brother Wesley and his wife Julia came. Mom's brother Jerry and his wife Anna came as well. Lots of yummy food, almost too much! We will soon be eating some leftovers and I am sure we'll be off to bed early with all that triptofan!

Hollis Gardens

I took the kids to Hollis Gardens to get some Christmas shots. They aren't the greatest, but there were a few salvagable ones. I really tried to get the kids in action. The sun was really bright and a lot of times they were squinting!

Ashton loves Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See? He has it committed to heart and reads it! I am so proud that he is already beginning to asimilate!

Halloween Photos!

Halloween was great! We had a celebration at Grandma and Grandpa's with Nanny, Ernie and Aunt Joyce for Sadie's birthday! It is hard to believe that she is 10 already! After a cookie cake and opening presents, it was a change into costumes and out trick or treating around the neighborhood! The kids had a great time and had plenty of loot!
As you can see, Sadie was a Darling Devil and Ashton dressed as Bob the Builder!

Ashton is 3!

Ashton is the big three today! He went to Cypress Gardens yesterday to celebrate and today his having his Puzzle Party! I hope to write more and share some pictures about his day later!

Sea World 2006

Ashton loved visitting Sea World last Thursday! Here are some of those smiling moments! That Shamu ice cream at the stadium before the new Shamu show Believe was so worth those photos! The Shamu show was awesome too!

Lots of Rain!

Well, the rain seems to be over.

I took the kids to the library this morning to get them out of the house! We hit story time and picked out some new books and DVD's. We picked up some books on daschunds to learn more about Peanut. We stopped at my classroom on the way back to drop off the Mother's Day flower pots for next year and pick up a new puzzle for Ashton to put togehter! I seriously need to get a few more for him. He loves them! Plus it is so awesome to listen to him as he puts it together, talking his way through.

Kevin mowed the yard tonight and Ashton was his shadow! It is just so awesome and neat to watch this bonding!

Oh yeah, we were dancing to our VBS songs and some Greg & Steve! Love those learning songs and my goal this summer was to teach Ashton some more songs and rhymes and encourage him to dance and do the movements on his own so he is more participatory in school!

Tropical Storm Alberto!

Yuck, yuck and more yuck! The tropical depression has progressed to a tropical storm and will be a hurricane, a catergory 1 when it hands land tomorrow! Just two days ago theyy said this one won't be trouble, it was projected to be tropical depression! Hello, wrong already and this is only storm 1! Granted, we do need the rain though. It has not stopped since sometime before sunrise!

I have two, two year olds in the house today! Not too bad since we are rained in and will be tomorrow. Thankfully it was the beiginning of the week and not the end! I thought about the library, but it is just awful! Kevin said a tornado had been spotted in Bartow and didn't really want us to go out. I really wanted Family Fun to run energy off, but two, two year olds on my hip running in the rain didn't sound like fun!

I got some sute photos of the two boys and Carter by himself with my black cloth! I am obsessed with it! I need to find a new prop soon! The white wall was retired, soon will the black felt, eventually!

Well, I should get some scrapping done before the two little ones awake! It has been peaceful since 1! I have close to another hour of bliss before they awaken!

Lazy Saturday

Not too much going on today! I hope everyone else is having a great day!

I had to run some errands. Both kids needed new sneakers! Ashton's feet are huge and Sadie is finally beginning to grow! I also went to order the CD from VBS. It should be in shortly. I couldn't resist going to Violette's since I was on my own to use one of my birthday gift certificates.

Kevin put his Comanche out front for sale today. He is still going to piddle with it a little bit.

I took an old acrylic frame that you can put things in. It had come with M&M's as a gift, but they melted and the cockroaches found it! Yuck! I had a brainstorm today to cut paper a 1/4 of an inch and roll it up and stuff it inside. I love how it came out. Now, I have to find somewhere to hang it!

1st Blog! VBS!

Vacation Bible School is over! The kids had a great week! Sadie enjoyed it and Ashton did too! I am so glad Ashton had the opportunity to create some crafts and get the little Bible Buddies! He loves playing with those little guys and I love that the verses are on the back of each so we can commit them to memory, together! I need to go order the CD so we can continue to enjoy the great songs! We have the last three years and pop them in every once in a while and dance around the living room!

Plans for the weekend are quite minimal. We'll be lounging around as a family. Bathroom needs a new faucet since Ashton was able to break it this morning! Next weekend will be busier!
